Q. John, you’re new to SAS. What’s your vision? A. While I’m new to SAS, I’m a channels veteran of 20-plus years. I know what success looks like, and I knew SAS’ expansive partner ecosystem has the power and the technology to propel customers into the future. We want to be the world’s best partnering company to transform a world of data into a world of intelligence. Every day, our partners and customers encounter more data. This isn’t going to change. That’s where SAS comes in as a leader in AI and analytics, and what makes us even more attractive to partners. We have the technology, infrastructure and innovation to help them manage that data and turn it into insights that drive business outcomes. We make that happen in several different ways within our vibrant partner network, integrating with our technology partners like Intel, selling with our solution and service providers through distributors and going to market with trusted global system integrators. Q. SAS recently announced that it’s shifting to a distribution model to drive growth. Why the change? A. We’re doubling down on our channel strategy to help us grow, and distribution plays a major role in that. We’re making it easier for partners to work with SAS by simplifying, standardizing and accelerating to remove friction and generate value faster. We’ve enlisted leading global distributors, such as TD SYNNEX and Carahsoft, to help scale to meet our customers’ needs and empower partners to grow their business with us. Our solution providers can do this with our fast, reliable AI and analytics platform SAS ® Viya ® . Our customers benefit from our cloud platform and our partners’ expertise. It’s an exciting time to be partnering with SAS, and further proof that we’re serious about elevating partners in our overall strategy. Q. What solutions are your partners selling? A. Our solutions are rock-solid, and they encompass the entire analytics lifecycle. SAS Viya is cloud-native, with model management and monitoring built in to mitigate bias by providing additional reasons and context for what AI models produce. We’re incredibly intentional and proactive to set our partners and customers up for success. We also have ready-to-implement industry solutions in life sciences, supply chain, risk and more. We have a robust ecosystem that’s firing on all cylinders. These present tremendous opportunity for partners, regardless of how they’re working with us—and there are many ways to do that.
