New money goes into stage 1 stocks. Dividends are dripped unless the portfolio position is overvalued , and there are opportunities to roll some appreciation profits forward into a higher yielding asset. I call this rolling profits forward .

The Goal with the buy and hold dividend portfolio is to add new funds to the stage 1s . Buy low and at times harvest some gains or run-away ( stage 3’s) positions to add profits to stage 1 in the portfolio . I call this rolling profits forward. This keeps things balanced without stopping the upside movement of the better positions. I follow the rules of the Money Flow. Take profits, let winners run , stocks go up over time , take advantage of sell offs by buying stage 1s. Compound your Wealth .
