L eading contractors, consultants, merchants, manufacturers, people, products and projects have been recognised at Ireland’s Plumbing & Heating Awards 2023. Held in Clontarf Castle Dublin on November 10, the gala awards ceremony celebrated 25 winners across multiple categories. Recipients spanned the sector from individuals just starting out in their career such as Apprentice of the Year Liam Dempsey from K-Mech Mechanical to Gerry Tobin from Ideal Energy Distribution, who picked up the Lifetime Achievement Award. Gerry shared highlights of his career with 320 guests at the Awards, who also heard from Stephen Lynam of headline sponsor Calor. Hosted by broadcasters Louise Duffy and Colm O’Regan, who kept guests entertained with his comedy act
after a drinks reception and three-course dinner, the event raised €3,357 for the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity. “Congratulations to our winners, who exemplify the professionalism, innovation and hard work behind Ireland’s plumbing and heating industry,” said Karen McAvoy, Managing Director of awards organiser Ireland’s Plumbing & Heating Magazine. “We wish to express our gratitude to the sponsors making the event possible, our independent judging panel, and all the finalists and guests bringing such a spirit of fun and positivity to this year’s awards. “We were also honoured to be able to raise much-needed funds for Lighthouse, a tremendous charity providing emotional, physical and financial wellbeing support to the construction community and their families.”
