MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID (MHFA) 2 DAY COURSE*

MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID REFRESHER We recommend that Mental Health First Aiders (MHFAider®) take the MHFA Refresher course every three years to update: awareness of mental health support, knowledge of mental health and what influences it, and practice applying the Mental Health First Aid action plan. The MHFA England training course is grounded in research and developed with clinical practitioners. It is proven to benefit MHFAiders® so they are confident, empowered and motivated to carry out their role. With our new offer, training doesn’t stop when the course comes to an end. We provide continuoussupportforMHFAiders®–wellbeyondinitialcer- tification – providing access to exclusive resources, ongoing learning opportunities, and the benefit of joining England’s largest community of trained MHFAiders® the Royal Society of Public Health.

SUICIDE FIRST AID VIRTUAL TRAINING (SFA) SFA Lite is comprised of two 90 minute sessions. The programme teaches the skills needed to identify someone who may be thinking about suicide and to refer the person onto a Suicide First Aider. This training offers learning outcomes that are knowledge based and factual. This virtual training can be used as a stand-alone programme or as the first part of a journey to learn suicide prevention skills.

YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID 2 DAY COURSE*

The Youth Mental Health First Aid two-day course from MHFA England is an internationally recognised training course designed to teach Primary and Secondary colleagues how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill-health in young people and provide help on a first aid basis. The focus is on promoting young people’s emotional well-being and the factors that help safeguard and protect them. You will receive a copy of the Youth MHFA manual which is an excellent support resource. Upon completion of the course, delegates will be certified Youth Mental Health First Aiders.
