Birmingham Arts School (BAS) is a space to build creative minds. By connecting schools to the Arts, we allow children and young people to think, to imagine, to debate, to question and to enable everyone across the City to think about the world openly and explore it with a different mindset. PRIMARY ARTSLINK NETWORK Birmingham Arts School hosts one primary teacher network, consisting of three network meetings, during the year. Attendees gain insights, share best practice, and forge connections with arts organisations. Join to explore innovative teaching methods, advocate for arts education, and address school-specific challenges. ARTS PARTNERSHIP SHOWCASES BAS acknowledges diverse project scales and purposes of arts partnerships in schools: • Learning through the arts: enriching curriculum • Learning in the arts: acquiring art-specific skills • Using arts for social-emotional well-being In 2024/2025, BAS will host three Arts Showcases. These events feature successful partnerships, aiding schools in developing their own collaborations. By attending this event, Headteachers can gain clarity of how partnerships can enhance shared goals and enhance project success.
