PREPARING FOR THE FUTURE Facilities Enhancements Keep Us Ready For More Opportunities There’s no time like the present to make sure we’re ready for the future. That’s our philosophy on ensuring our facilities remain state of the art, because building for the future means we’re ready for growth. Some recent examples of that commitment are in Baton Rouge, Shreveport and Knoxville, ranging from interior and exterior updates to parking enhancements and a dock expansion. NOW THAT’S ROUGE THINKIN’ Our upgrades in Baton Rouge have been extensive: • New paint and flooring throughout • Updated men’s and women’s bathrooms • New cabinets, countertops, tables and chairs in the breakroom • New countertops in the dispatch office and cubicles in the main office area • Updated landscaping The facility will also soon receive new signage for the inside and outside. “We are really excited about the work that has been done,” says Baton Rouge Service Center Director MELISSA GOFF . “These upgrades provide more comfort to our associates, and we have a great place that looks great, too. I feel like we have a brand-new facility!” IM‘PORT’ANT CORRIDOR Much like Baton Rouge, our Shreveport service center received many of the same upgrades, as well as a parking lot milling and re-asphalting. Additionally, the facility will soon have new electronic gates.
Our Baton Rouge facility recently underwent extensive enhancements, and those investments are part of our continuing commitment to staying ready for future growth.
“That’s a big thing, because we have so much traffic coming in and out to get fuel, shower and eat,” explains Service Center Director CARLIN CALDWELL . “The electronic gates will make it a lot easier for associates on the weekends, and the security part is important.” Shreveport is a prime location because of its proximity to Interstate 20, making it a key corridor for our over-the-road drivers. “We have probably around 15 Truckload drivers domiciled here,” Carlin says. “And we have a lot who stop on their way through. We're in between Dallas, Birmingham and Atlanta. So we have a lot of traffic with associates who stop to eat, shower and spend the night. The upgrades are very nice for them.” BIGGER DOCK ON ROCKY TOP We’re also currently expanding the dock at our Knoxville service center, and the project will increase our space by 56 doors up to a total of 154. We anticipate completing the expansion in May. “This addition is for the future,” says Service Center Director JEFF PENLEY . “It puts us in position to always be a solutions provider with the capacity to offer and deliver solutions for our customers.” We’re excited about these projects, because they’re made possible by your commitment to outstanding service. And we look forward to seeing what else is in store as we take care of Our Customers, Our Associates and Our Future ! T m

THOMAS BANOVICH – Tampa Tommy is absolutely one of the best drivers we've ever had from any LTL company. I love Averitt regardless, but Tommy makes the experience all that much better. He is truly an asset to Averitt. Norman, Stone Hardscapes – Saint Petersburg, FL RONNIE BROWN – Atlanta West Ron faced several challenges with our delivery, including a GPS malfunction that sent him to the wrong location. Despite that, his communication was smooth, and he arrived quickly. The loading dock was packed, but he patiently waited for his turn. When our deliveries blocked the entry, he adjusted and carefully moved them through one of our doors into the hallway without any damage. He
THOMAS GARRETT – Nashville Thomas was so thoughtful. He used some tarps to cover our freight to prevent it from getting wet while it was raining. Companies should hire more drivers like him. He’s a great asset and he did a wonderful job. Ray, Sugar Ray Moving – Hermitage, TN RONALD KLEMM – West Palm Beach Ronald is professional and courteous. I have had incredibly frustrating experiences with other companies. People like him make Averitt one of the best companies to work with. He gets a 10/10 from me.
