Doing Media and Communication at Swansea University gave me an overview of the entire media industry, but the key for me was the internship module in my final year, which enabled me to work in-house with Swansea City Football Club to do a full year internship, which led to a paid full-time role. I chose Swansea University because of the career prospects and the opportunities presented by the university were just amazing.

I cannot express how genuinely happy I am that I came to Swansea University. This place has helped me develop on a personal level, reflect on my goals and refine me as a person. I gained confidence, independence and become a better person for myself and my family. I also made friends for a lifetime and experiences that will forever stay in my heart.

I have many good memories of my time in Swansea. Have taken out this line as it’s repetitive I can truly say that I built a strong community of friends during my time at Swansea. Through my MA programme, I was able to quickly gain a lot of the hard and soft skills that I would need, for a career in communications and brand marketing. I feel that the course helped to prepare me for my first entry level position in PR which then led to my current role, Social Media and Digital Creator Economy Expert for Instagram.
