5.5 Reviews & Assessment

All full-time employees who are confirmed before the end of the financial year, are eligible for performance assessment at the end of the financial year. Performance Assessment seeks to achieve the following; • Review the attainment of set Job Goals/Target Plan activities in line with the strategic goals of the department and organisation for the year. • Review of employee/supervisees’ action plan and learning agenda at the end of the year to ascertain knowledge level and gaps for the new year

• Complete the assessment with comprehensive feedback for the year and area of focus for the upcoming year.

Reviews and Assessments are to commence in the final three weeks of the year- end to allow ample time for employee job goal/target planning assessment and learning agenda prior to the co-review process with the supervisor upon which the supervisor then submits the final review, agreed and signed assessment document to the Executive Director for final ratification of the reviews and assessment carried out.
