Upon completion of Senior Management deliberations, all approved courses and enrollment information would be presented to the Executive director or his/her designee for endorsement. AfriLabs shall support in the payment of full-time staff professional membership fees, dues, subscriptions and MCPD programs. All employees whose applications have been endorsed are notified by the People Management Office and the enrollment information would be requested and conducted by the People Management office in consultation with the employee. Employees are encouraged to use their annual leave period when requesting study leaves. NB: For Study leave requests that exceed the annual leave period (24 working days), the employee will only be paid a; • 15% gross salary (if the employee has been with the organisation after 3 years) • 20% gross salary (if the employee has been with the organisation after 4 years) • 25% gross salary (if the employee has been with the organisation after 5 years) This salary will be paid for a maximum period of six (6) months. No further payments will be made until the employee returns to work. Additionally, during this period, the employee will not be eligible for HMO and Group Life Insurance coverage. Employees requesting study leave will be required to sign a bond agreement outlining their commitment to return to the organization after the leave period. This agreement ensures clarity regarding the terms of the study leave and the employee’s responsibilities upon their return. A replacement model for the employee’s role during the study leave will also be implemented, ensuring continuity of operations. The replacement will be determined by the department, and temporary staffing may be arranged for the duration of the leave.

Report On Training

A report on the activity undertaken, or training received must be received by the employee’s supervisor (with a copy to People Management Office) within 7 working days of the conclusion of the activity, except in the case of group training, or as exempted by the Executive Director.
