7.1 Internship Program

Description

AfriLabs will offer Internship possibilities to help young graduates who are interested in pursuing a career in specialised areas of the organisation to gain the necessary professional skills, knowledge, and competencies. The programme will be offered according to justifiable organisational needs, and merit and the applicant meets the selection criteria.

Eligibility

The Programme shall ONLY consider eligible graduates (who are either in their National Youth Service Scheme or recently completed the scheme) and undergraduates (who are in their final year of study).

All interested persons are to submit;

• Letter of intent • CV and • Copies of certificates to the office of People Management. The Designated People Management Lead collates all applications over a period, evaluates them in view of the identified internship opportunities, and invites all suitable persons for an aptitude test as a basis for selection.

Learning Opportunities

Besides on-the-job training and experience, Interns will be exposed to and, where possible, given formal training in specialised areas of the Organisation’s work. Formal training opportunities may include participating in on-site staff training, one-on-one mentorship or shadowing with AfriLabs staff, and online coursework.
