Having never been to Sweden before I couldn’t believe the variety of different landscapes. The second location for day one was a complete contrast to the look and feel of the city. Bjorkviksvägen is nestled on the east coast of Stockholm and made the perfect setting for our Voyager camp out scene. This stunning beach faced just a couple of the 267,570 (not a typo!) little islands that make up Sweden. The tree lined banks and rocky out crops reaching out into the ocean resulted in some spectacular shots. The sunlight pierced through the treeline creating a magical dappled light, the perfect setting for our explorers to hike with their boards on their backs to the camping and launch spot. Our paddlers for this leg of the shoot were James, our Swedish distributor, Goran, a long distance race specialist and Neith, an epic adventurer who has been part of around the world sailing teams. All local to Sweden, they had all the kit to keep them warm on the water and we provided the warmth off the water in the form of the new Pro Change Evo robes. The new colours; Stealth Black, Mulberry Wine and Sea Mist Blue matched the tone of the light perfectly. Thats one of my main take aways from Sweden, just epic light, warm yet cold, vibrant yet pastel. It was an amazing place to light a camp fire, gather around for warmth and sip on a hot chocolate that had been kept toasty by our Red thermal cups. mmmmm It is crazy to think all of this was packed into day one. Day two saw us back in the heart of Stockholm. This time the star of the show was the brand new Revolution 3 in 1 Parka. The cooler climate of Stockholm was just the best place to show off the layering system. For this part of the shoot we highlighted the urban street style of the product. We had Emma from the UK join us along with Kim from Sweden. They were a great paring and gave the images the edge we were hoping for. But the best was yet to come.
