Performance under pressure Developed by lifeguards, Red Rescue is our dedicated lifesaving division, focussed on reducing drowning rates globally.
WORDS James Kelsall
Born from a collaborative design project with the RNLI International Team in 2018, Red Rescue was developed to deliver all the benefits of inflatable board design without compromising on performance. The aim was to enable the delivery of critical lifeguard training and water safety initiatives just about anywhere in the world. Designed and built to withstand some of the harshest conditions on the planet, the boards have since been deployed throughout the RNLI’s global outreach programmes and further developed by the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS), Surf Life Saving (SLS) New South Wales and SLS New Zealand.
Utilising our TEC-AIR production process, reinforced material (MSL Tough) and patented stiffening system, the boards offer unparalleled performance whilst being more durable and transportable than their hard board cousins. Tested by lifeguards in a range of conditions and countries, the boards also feature a number of innovative details to improve control and comfort when on long patrols. The inflatable construction makes them safer for lifeguards and water users alike in large surf or crowded swim zones.
