First Steps (Ages 3–6) Weekly Ballet Class (June 30 - Aug. 4): Tuesdays from 4:15pm - 5:00pm. In a creative and engaging environment, students will learn Ballet foundations week to week. Fancy Fairytales (Aug. 10–14): Young dancers will become young royalty through dance classes, activities, and magical crafts inspired by beloved fairytales. The week ends with a showcase for family and friends. K-Pop Idols (Aug. 17–21): Dancers will sing, move, and shine like K-pop stars through dance classes, themed activities, and creative projects, culminating in a family showcase. Youth Division Summer Sampler (Ages 7–9) (Aug. 10 -14): Designed for dancers developing foundational and intermediate skills. Students can refine existing skills, explore new dance forms, and build confidence while staying active and engaged between academic years.
Brooklyn Friends School is thrilled to announce that it will have two dynamic summer programs going on this year in Downtown Brooklyn! Camp Brooklyn at Brooklyn Friends School creates a joyful and warm environment that celebrates each camper’s unique identity. We encourage exploration, curiosity, creativity, and summer fun. Each day is packed with exciting activities such as sports, team- building exercises, STEM projects, arts and crafts, water play, and our rooftop playground. Embracing the vibrant spirit of our Brooklyn home, each week features field trips throughout our great borough— from playgrounds to beaches to petting zoos to museums and more! Camp Brooklyn consists of three two-week sessions, and is open to students aged three through rising fourth graders. BFS Summer Sports will make its debut this summer, and is a great opportunity for rising fourth through seventh graders to learn important skills, while having a blast with their friends. . Sports available will be baseball/ softball, basketball, volleyball, and soccer from June 22 through July 31. See website for specific schedule.
