Facilitate an exercise where participants interview each other while applying active listening principles
Facilitate a discussion around the principles of communication (communicating, understanding, and accepting) and how these are impacted by engagement and participation as well as the forms of appeal
The participants shall:
Share experiences in remote learning and teaching
Practise active learning principles in pairs
In small groups to discuss importance and strategies for keeping lessons participant centred and engaging
ASSESSMENT STRATEGY
After successfully having completed this lesson, the participants can:
53) Explain different assessment strategies (Knowledge, intermediate level)
54) Describe different/multiple assessment tools (Knowledge, basic level)
55) Distinguish between formative and summative evaluation (Skills, intermediate level)
The instructor shall:
Demonstrate how assessment aligns with GWO Taxonomy, planning, learning objectives, and activities
Share strengths and challenges of different forms of assessment
Facilitate discussion around the purpose of assessment and how to ensure the chosen assessment appropriately measures learning
Present about formative and summative assessment
Model backwards planning in regard to assessment, engagement, learning activities, learning styles, adult learning
The participants shall:
Work in small groups to examine one type of assessment
