Kitchen Tune-Up was founded in 1988 by David and Cindy Haglund in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Dave, having run a cabinet store since 1977, developed a system to make kitchens look and function like new without requiring a full remodel. He called it a “Kitchen Tune-Up” and began franchising the concept. As customer needs evolved, so did the company, expanding its services to include wood restoration, cabinet painting, redooring, refacing, and new cabinets which has now evolved to the 5 core services offered today. In 2003, their daughter Heidi Morrissey joined the business and became president in 2017. In 2021, Kitchen Tune-Up joined the Home Franchise Concepts family. Franchise locations are independently owned but supported by over 36 years of experience in the home improvement industry.

In the cabinet refacing process, we replace doors and drawer fronts, covering the existing cabinet boxes with matching veneer, enhancing both the look and durability without altering your kitchen layout. With our Refacing Plus option, we can also add cabinets, drawers, and islands for a fresh, more efficient space! Bring your kitchen cabinets back to life!
