Other families moving in soon After years of renting at Cinnamon Shore, Kate and Ryan Burkhart of Grapevine, Texas, are watching the finishing touches on a gorgeous new home at South. “My husband is a landscape architect, and my mom used to build homes. The two of them sat down and took ideas to a friend who is an architect in Dallas. Our builder is Tod Arbogast,” Kate says. “It’s a true custom home.” Likewise, J.B. Goodwin and his wife Marylin of Austin will soon be able to host family in their new residence at South. The couple modified a home plan for a Cinnamon Shore North home that they used to rent almost 25 days a year—working with the same architect to make the plan a bit smaller and add a second master suite. They knew exactly what they wanted and found the right home site at South to build it. “The detailed guidelines in place at Cinnamon Shore will help perpetuate and increase property values,” J.B. says, “and more and more people are

Amanda Lowry and her husband live year- round in a nearby Mustang Island enclave, and she runs rental property businesses with homes across the area. The couple invested in not one, but two properties at Cinnamon Shore South. “We bought two lots

The Lowrys’ home on Laughter Lane breaks ground soon, and the other one, on Weekend Street, finished in mid-April. She looks forward to sharing the beautiful beach home—decorated with paper white, grays, and bright accent colors—with extended family, and she plans to open it to vacation rentals by summer. “It’s easy to build at Cinnamon Shore,” Lowry says. “I love the way that they run things. Everything is so structured. It makes it easier because they have rules to follow.”
