The Paris of the Plains, in Pictures For people who frequently make the six hour non-stop flight between coasts, the “flyover” states are a mysterious patchwork gazed down upon between movie one and movie two. But, amid the waves of grain, in Kansas City, Missouri, is a thriving cultural scene, rich in food, music, architecture, and history. The strong bonds shared with its thirteen sister cities from Morelia, Mexico to Kurashiki, Japan, have made Kansas City an exciting international destination.
