At a younger siblings whom he watched over when their mother wasn’t able to. “They were basically like my kids,” says Page. “I would be the one to do everything that a dad would usually do, like supporting and disciplining them. I had to take on that role. It was a lot of responsibility when you're still growing up yourself.” Page began smoking marijuana when he was 12 years old to help deal with the demands of his family situation. He was experiencing high levels of stress and exhaustion at the time. Weed provided the escape he needed from his surroundings, but led him to environments and relationships that would alter the rest of his life.

Bridging the Tys to Jordan offers a variety of programs to meet the different needs of each client. Their mission is to create positive lifestyle changes for the individuals they serve. The center provides assistance, support and compassion throughout the challenges of treatment. For Page, group meetings have been the most helpful aspect of treatment to tackle his emotional and mental struggles. The feedback and support he gets from his peers at the center help him gain perspective on his situation and remember that he’s never alone. “We all have similar stories, so we understand each other. We try to keep each other positive and motivated. It’s important to help one another the best we can,” Page says. They really take care of you here,” Page says.
