Just Culture and safety reporting Air Serbia promotes a positive safety culture in which employees are encouraged to report safety concerns, hazards and occurrences without fear of reprisal, under the principles of a Just Culture. The company distinguishes between honest, unintentional errors and unacceptable behaviour , such as gross negligence or wilful violations , ensuring that reporting channels remain trusted and are used consistently across the organization. This trust is reinforced through a clear non-reprisal policy: no disciplinary action is taken against any employee who reports an incident or occurrence involving human error and openly participates in the subsequent investigation and development of error-prevention strategies. This protection does not extend to individuals who have acted recklessly or unlawfully, or whose repeated errors reflect a general lack of care and professionalism or wilful negligence , preserving the balance between a trusted reporting culture and individual accountability. Safety concerns are reported through the company's dedicated safety reporting system , covering air, cabin, ground and technical/security occurrence reports , as well as directly to the Safety Department. All reports entered into the system are reviewed daily, ensuring that occurrences are assessed and acted upon without delay. IOSA certification Air Serbia successfully renewed its IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) certification in 2025, reaffirming its continued compliance with internationally recognized operational safety and quality standards. This was the eleventh consecutive successful IOSA audit completed by the company since 2004. The audit process included a comprehensive review of more than 900 operational and safety-related standards across multiple areas , including flight operations, ground handling, engineering and maintenance, cabin operations, cargo operations, operational control and corporate management systems. Following the 2024 IOSA Audit (03-06 December 2024), all findings and observations identified during the review have been fully closed (100%). Following this closure, Air Serbia AD Belgrade was re-issued an IOSA certificate valid until 25 February 2027.
Other certifications and approvals Beyond IOSA, Air Serbia holds a range of additional certificates and regulatory authorizations issued by civil aviation authorities across its network, reflecting compliance with international and jurisdiction-specific safety requirements in the markets it serves.
