Columbus and a member of the organi- zation for more than 40 years. Brother William Gully, Jr. was preceded in death by his daughter Audrey Marie Gully and his wife Lillian L. Gully. He is survived by two sons, Vincent B. Gully and William Gully III; brother Andre Walker; sister Brenda Walker; four grandchildren, Rhe’Fanette Osborne, Leah Gully, Scarlett Rose Gully, and Layla Gully; and many loved uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other rela- tives, friends, and former students.
Bank, Emerald City Bank, Puget Sound Bank, and Key Bank, where he served as Vice-President-Area Sales Manager until his retirement in 2000. A member of the Seattle (WA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Haynes was also a recognized leader in the Seattle business community and actively engaged in Seattle's philanthropic com- munity. He demonstrated his commit- ment to service by lending his expertise as a board member for various non-profit organizations. The physical distance did not diminish the love for his alma mater, Southern University. The deep connection and affection for Southern led him to be a founding member of the Puget Sound Chapter of the Southern University Alumni Association. He served as the association's treasurer for 40 years. Haynes remained dedicated in his spiritual life and was a faithful mem- ber of the Mount Zion Baptist Church since August 1965. He held numerous leadership roles and proved to be an influential voice and valued resource for several key strategic initiatives of the church. His recent involvement as a mentor/teacher with a mentoring program for young males, Team Issachar, was particularly fulfilling. Travel was a passion that Haynes shared with his beloved wife, Malver. They were fortunate to visit six of the seven continents. He loved animals, so he es- pecially relished his two trips to Africa, which included a safari. Brother Robert S. Haynes is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Malver (née Baptiste) Haynes; son, Rodney S. Haynes (Lambda Nu 1988); daughter, Robin (Bobby) Yearby; granddaugh- ter, Maralie Yearby; grandson, Griffin Haynes Yearby; brother, Grover (Wanda) Haynes; sister Ora Brown; sister Min- nie Martin; sister Katie Wright; Estella (Ron) Swann; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
investigation. He was a very active member of the Greater Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Groveland, Florida. He also served as Chaplain of the Blue Knights Florida 29 Motorcycle Club and Osceola Visionaries. Hewas a certified Driver’s Education Instructor as well as a Certified Motor- cycle Riding Instructor. Brother Godwin was a Charter Mem- ber and the first Vice Polemarch of the Leesburg (FL) Alumni Chapter, Kappa Alpha Psi., chartered November 18, 2016 in Leesburg, Florida. He also held the position as chapter Chairman of the national initiatives for St Jude, Reclama- tion and March of Dimes. Brother Jerome W. Godwin is sur- vivedby his two children Tiffany C. and Marty R and JaMaya (granddaughter).

Brother Robert S. Haynes (Alpha Sigma 1959) en- tered the Chapter Invisible on April 6, 2021, at age 82. Robert Staple Haynes was the fifth child born to the late Cleveland

William “Bill” Gully, Jr. (Delta Delta 1959) en- tered the Chap- ter Invisible on January 16, 2021. He was born on October 27, 1939 and attended Jim Hill High School.
Haynes, Sr. and Esteller (née Fletcher) Haynes on December 12, 1938, in St. Joseph, LA. He and his seven siblings grew up in a household full of love and rooted in faith. Haynes distinguished himself as a student and graduated from Tensas Rosenwald High School in 1957. He attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA, where he earned a B.S. degree in mathematics in 1962. He later earned an MBA Degree in Finance from Seattle University in 1976 and a certificate from Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington in 1982. After college, Hayne worked at the Boeing Company before being drafted into the United States Army. After his honorable discharge, Haynes returned to the Boeing Company then entered the banking industry as a management trainee at Liberty Bank of Seattle as a management trainee. His banking ca- reer spanned over 30 years and included leadership roles at Pacific National Bank of Washington, Seattle First National
He attended Jackson State College (now University), where he was a multi-year letterman in track and graduated with a B.S. degree in elementary educa- tion. He graduated from William Carey University in Hattiesburg, MS, where he earned an M.Ed degree. Professionally, Gully spent many levels in different roles in different Mississippi school districts. He was a retired junior- and high-school educator/administra- tor, athletic coach, and central office administrator for the West Point, Jones County, and Laurel City school districts. William was an active member of Im- maculate Conception Catholic Church in Laurel, MS. He was an active 4th-degree member of the Knights of
