The majority of our forged steel components are sand blasted and coated with a rust inhibitor as the final step in the manufacturing process. (Items under 8' in length). King Architectural Metals uses ONLY Sodium Nitrate (NaNO3) a safe, environmentally- friendly, water soluble compound. NaNO3 does not require toxic, flammable or synthetic solvents to remove for finishing. It can be removed quickly and safely with WATER.
