1. WATER ONLY 2. PRESSURE WASHING
3. Water with a biodegradable soap. 4. Dry the pieces quickly otherwise rust may appear. The majority of our forged steel components are sand blasted and coated with a rust inhibitor as the final step in the manufacturing process. (Items under 8' in length). King Architectural Metals uses ONLY Sodium Nitrate (NaNO3) a safe, environmentally-friendly, water soluble compound. NaNO3 does not require toxic, flammable or synthetic solvents to remove for finishing. It can be removed quickly and safely with WATER. Water will completely remove the rust inhibitor, leaving you with a raw, clean, steel surface.
