CAST IRON VICTORIAN DESIGNS
THE VICTORIAN GROUP Named for Queen Victoria of England who was born in London at Kensington Palace May 24th, 1819 to Edward, Duke of Kent and Princess Victoria of Saxe- Coburg, this era is viewed as a pivotal place in his- tory where political, social and intellectual arenas saw much change geared toward modernization. At the Beginning of the 19th century, Neo-Classicism found resistance from the movement of Romanticism. This struggle led to many new artistic movements evolving simultaneously. Hence, we have the varied assortment of lines and designs in this group that will complement virtually any design theme today.
