“The blending of the two companies is a great opportunity for our employees, across all of our companies and branches, to learn, grow, and develop to take advantage of the strengths that each of the organizations bring forward.” — Russ Becker, APi Group president and CEO

The people of Chubb

The acquisition of Chubb fire and security business (Chubb) by APi Group is the start of a new era in Chubb’s rich 200-plus year history and was marked internally with an engaging people campaign. Entitled “A World of Opportunity”, the campaign aims to connect Chubb’s 12,000 global employee base with the exciting opportunities available under APi Group ownership—from Day 1 and beyond. On January 10, 2022, a global town hall and launch video celebrating Chubb’s new chapter with APi Group was followed 100 days later with the release of Chubb’s Employee Manifesto, a commitment to creating an environment and a culture at Chubb that puts people first. “The Employee Manifesto builds on APi Group’s concept that by placing value on our people, we can build a long-term future for the business and create a winning culture,” said Clare Cooper, associate director of group internal communications at Chubb. “We want our employees to know that this ‘World of Opportunity’ means giving them opportunities to unlock their potential, unleash new possibilities and be a leader— whatever their role in the company.” “Since I joined Chubb, I’ve observed that throughout the APi Group family of companies, leadership isn’t just a top-down phenomenon,” said Andrew White, CEO at Chubb. “Everyone is a leader and given the autonomy to work the way in

which they want with the freedom and responsibility to make their own decisions. They have an equal seat at the table and permission to be authentic and vulnerable.” “The investment that we make with our people really starts with everyone,” said Russ Becker, president and CEO of APi Group. “The blending of the two companies is a great opportunity for our employees, across all of our companies and branches, to learn, grow, and develop to take advantage of the strengths that each of the organizations bring forward.” Chubb employees worldwide began learning about the APi Group leadership culture in June 2022 through the first foundational program in the company’s Building Great Leaders e-learning series, “I am a Leader.” This program introduces the APi Group belief that everyone, everywhere is a leader. To date, over 4,800 Chubb team members have completed the module, Chubb team members completed the module, an online learning opportunity available in seven languages that introduces the APi foundational leadership concepts. “APi Group’s strong entrepreneurial and leadership-driven culture influences our employees to be more creative and inspires them to bring more creative solutions to our customers. It will help us go faster in the market for our customers,” concluded White.

highly enough of the APi Group culture of leadership and entrepreneurial mindset. The company’s emphasis on putting people-first will open our employees to development opportunities and empowers each branch to be the best it can be.”

The joining of the two companies creates a diversified global business operating in both the safety and specialty sectors, employing 25,000 people worldwide, across more than 500 offices and branches—and that’s only the start. “There are tremendous synergies and organic growth opportunities between the two companies,” Becker said. “These include expansion into new markets and channels with complementary service offerings, and APi Group companies have the ability to cross-sell products and services among the sister companies.” Chubb, too, sees opportunity in its new ownership. “The acquisition is a great launchpad for accelerated growth, giving us a springboard into the U.S. which allows us to scale up and offer a broader suite of solutions to customers worldwide,” White said. “There is potential for great transfer of knowledge and skill sets across the two companies, and we are already learning from each other.” More changes to come While some work has started, the majority of the work of integrating Chubb into the APi Group family of companies will pick up speed in 2023. “We understand how much of our business lies within our branch
