Pompeii An ancient city located near Naples, Pompeii was buried under metres of volcanic ash and pumice in the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. It was a wealthy town, with fine public buildings, luxurious private houses and many classical works of art. It is this that inspired the name of our traditionally stylish Pompeii knob.
