TWO EXCLUSIVE HOMES IN HOLYWOOD, CO DOWN HAVE INSTALLED GRANT AERONA³ HEAT PUMPS AS PART OF A BESPOKE

GRANT INTEGRATED HEATING PACKAGE…

Maximising efficiency and cost savings for homeowners Located on the Ballymoney Road in Holywood, Co Down, two exclusive, luxury homes with EPC ratings of A97 have recently installed 13kW Grant Aerona³ R32 air-source heat pumps as part of a bespoke Grant Integrated Heating package. The heating solutions for the new contemporary-style homes, which are 2,650sqft and 3,114sqft in size, were designed by in-house technical specialists at Grant. The team worked closely with builder Distinguished Homes and architect Colin McAuley Planning to size and specify the best-suited Grant heating technologies to maximise efficiency and long-term cost savings for the homeowners. For the main heat source in each home, a 13kW Grant Aerona³ R32 air-to-water, air- source heat pump was installed to provide a reliable, efficient and environmentally- friendly home heating solution. The award-winning Grant Aerona³ range has an ErP of A+++, is easy to install, and the

technology helped to achieve required compliance under building regulations. The Grant Aerona³ R32 air-source heat pump range works seamlessly with other Grant heating technologies. The 13kW Aerona³ R32 model has also been recognised for its quiet operation by the internationally acclaimed Quiet Mark. To support the system’s overall efficiency, a high-performance, energy-efficient hot water storage solution was installed in each home. This included a 300l Grant MonoWave cylinder in one property and a 210l pre-plumbed Grant hot water cylinder in the other to supply 24/7 hot water. The Grant Uflex underfloor heating system was installed throughout the ground floor of each home and on the second floor of one of the homes. The other opted for Grant Afinia aluminium radiators on the second floor to heat individual rooms. These modern heat emitters work effectively to distribute heat efficiently, while offering versatility

to support the overall design and architecture of each property. Grant smart heating controls were also included within the heating package. Stewart Duncan, Director, Distinguished Homes, said, “I got the opportunity to learn about Grant heating technologies through a course held at Haldane Fisher and was particularly impressed with the quality of the products. “When I sent the house plans to the Grant team, they were very helpful and designed and specified the full heating system for these houses. “I was particularly happy that Grant came to fully commission the heat pumps and set the systems to optimum efficiency prior to handover. We were also able to provide links to online tutorials on how to operate the system to the new homeowners which was very helpful.” Mark Eccles, Grant NI, said, “The heating technologies which have been installed will futureproof the homes and deliver long-term cost and carbon savings for the homeowners and give them peace of mind from knowing that they have a reliable heating solution which will keep their families comfortable for many years to come.” To find out more about Grant’s heating technologies portfolio, contact the Grant technical team.
