What should be our attitude toward the Word'of God? Psa. 119:97. PRACTICAL POINTS (1) The preacher with red blood reads out of the Book and preaches to the point. ( 2 ) True preaching is paraphrasing the Bible. (3) In preaching Paul punctured the pride of the Jews, and they heartily hated the message. (4) The world is upside down; the Gos pel is designed to turn it right side up. (5) The sign of true nobility is found in those who search the Scriptures. ( 6 ) The Gospel either melts and molds the heart, or moves to antagonism. (7) In reading the Scriptures the Jews missed the cross of the Son of God, and the Gentiles missed the crown. ( 8 ) Ten thousand barbs from ten thousand bows sank in the soul of Christ. (9) We cannot change the customs by changing the costumes of men. We must reach their hearts.
