D r. Lisa D. Castaneda's path to success began at CBC, where she first walked through the doors in 2003 as a student. Reflecting on her experience, she admits, "It feels like I'm back at home." Continuing her academic journey at Texas A&M
She encourages the community to tour the site and learn about the available courses and career paths, including Cybersecurity, Nursing, Welding, and EMT programs. At the core of her mission is an unwavering commitment to empowering students and creating avenues for their success. "We just need you to open the door and see what we have to offer," she asserts, urging students to embrace the opportunities that await them. Dr. Castaneda understands that many students might not be aware of the vast array of resources available to them, and she is determined to bridge that gap. "This is an environment for you," she reassures. Drawing from her background in academic advising and working with veterans, Dr. Castaneda brings understanding and empathy to her leadership style, making her an inspiring figure in the Coastal Bend community.
University-Kingsville, Dr. Castaneda earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree, a Master of Science Degree in Psychology, and a Doctor of Education Degree in Educational Leadership. With over 15 years of experience in higher education, she has gained valuable insights from serving diverse audiences. In August 2022, Dr. Castaneda took on the role of Site Director for Coastal Bend College's Alice location and has since focused her efforts on community engagement and student success.
