Figure 2 shows the general location and nomenclature of the blades in a wind turbine generator. When the rotor is locked in the “Y” position, with the cover for lifting bracket (1) facing upward, then:
For additional designs Blade A (2) is positioned to the left (counterclockwise) of the cover for the lifting bracket (1). Blade B (3) is positioned facing down toward the tower and Blade C (4) is positioned to the right of the cover for the lifting bracket. Blade A (3) is positioned facing down toward the tower of the cover for the hatchway (1). Blade B (2) is positioned to the left (counterclockwise) and Blade C (4) is positioned to the right of the hatchway.
