ELEMENT 3.2 - SAFETY DATA SHEET LOCATION
Learning objectives:
19) The participants can describe the importance of always finding the most up to date safety data sheet in the applicable language (Knowledge, basic level)
20) The participants can show interest in always finding the most up to date safety data sheet in the applicable language before initiating work (Ability, basic level)
The instructor shall:
Emphasise the importance of obtaining company specific safety information, such as safety data sheets or material safety data sheets before initiating work
Explain how to locate and identify all relevant safety information; with the site lead, company representative, manufacturer website, supplier website, or work pack (hard copy or electronic)
Facilitate a discussion on the importance of locating safety data sheets written in local languages
Explain the importance of identifying the most up-to-date version of safety materials; hard copies as well as electronic information
The participants shall:
Engage in discussions about the importance of locating the most up-to-date safety data sheets and safety information written in local languages
ELEMENT 3.3 - SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Learning objectives:
21) The participants can recognise the importance of following safety instructions according to internal workplace procedures and national procedures (Knowledge, basic level)
