84) The participants can explain how masks are categorised and their life expectancy for different applications and chemicals (Knowledge, intermediate level)

85) The participants can explain how long a mask can be used for in each work situation (Knowledge, intermediate level)

The instructor shall:

Explain:

a. the reason for using different types of masks, including disposable masks, half face masks, full face masks, negative pressure masks, positive pressure masks and hoods.

b. how masks are categorised and their life expectancy for different applications and chemicals

c. the limitations and maximum working times for using different types of masks including considerations about the effect of facial hair
