Natasha, 12, won second place for her interpretation of works by renowned fashion photographer, Raphael Mazzucco, whilst 12-year-old Dominic’s Bob Dylan- esque composition was awarded third place. Ahead of Sam’s victory, 29 budding artists from the school were invited on a tour of the gallery in the city’s Grand Arcade. Hosted by gallery manager, Stacy Bodkin, the pupils were taught about the history, inspirations and techniques of our artists to inspire them as they undergo their own art studies at school. Stacy said: “ It was wonderful to welcome the children. It’s clear to see how much time and thought Sam gave to the winning painting, and I’m sure Paul Kenton would be thrilled to see this interpretation of his work. ” Could your child be our next Young Fine Artist?
