Fine Art Collector | Spring 2019

Jeff was one of the last original ‘good guys’. He was without artifice or agenda; not a bad bone in his body. I feel deeply fortunate to have worked with someone who took such pride in his work, and who put so much of himself into all that he did. His zeal and passion inspired those around him, and reminded us frequently of how lucky we are to do what we do. He made working with him a pleasure, mainly because it seemed we barely stopped laughing long enough to do any actual work!  I’m grateful that the last day we spent together, not long before Jeff passed away, was so in keeping with the relationship we’d enjoyed over the years. It was a day spent making jokes at each other’s expense, with me calling him Imelda Marcos (because of his well-documented, and ever-growing, shoe collection) and him calling me a grumpy old so and so. It will be some time before I can look at the rainy cinematic scenes that became his calling card, without pausing to remember Jeff as a phenomenal artist, true gentleman, and my friend.  Glyn Washington, Co-Founder and Creative Director, Washington Green Fine Art
