ELEMENT 2.5 - SKILL STATION: ESCAPE FROM A SMOKE-FILLED ENVIRONMENT

Learning objective:

22) The participants can act independently to escape from a smoke-filled environment in the event of an unmanageable fire (Ability, intermediate level)

The participants shall:

Describe general safety procedures and emergency exits in the wind industry workplace

Demonstrate safe behaviour and movement in a smoke-filled environment

Escape from a smoke-filled environment

LESSON 3 - FIRE AWARENESS TRAINING SCENARIOS

45 min.

The aim of this lesson is to allow participants to combine skills practiced from skill stations into an industry relevant emergency scenario. By practicing cohesive emergency scenarios, technicians can better understand the risks and learn how to mitigate them, reducing the likelihood of accidents and injuries.

After having successfully completed this lesson, the participants can:

23) Take responsibility for the evacuation of personnel and ensure all are safely accounted for in the event of an unmanageable fire (Ability, intermediate level)
