ELEMENT 2.2 - SKILL STATION: INSPECTION OF PERSONAL FALL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT PFPE
Learning objectives:
13) The participants can perform pre-use inspection of the PFPE and equip themselves with appropriate PFPE (Skills, intermediate level)
14) The participants can take responsibility for buddy-checks as a precaution against improper use of PFPE and risk of dropped objects (Ability, intermediate level)
15) The participants can take responsibility for securing tools, equipment, accessories, minor components, items, and parts by adequately tethering to prevent dropped objects (Ability, intermediate level)
The participants shall:
Choose adequate PFPE for tasks
Notice missing or incorrectly used PFPE and act on it
Take initiative to tether tools and other items
Perform correct pre-use inspection and inspection of PFPE, rescue, and evacuation devices
ELEMENT 2.3 - SKILL STATION: SYSTEMS TO PREVENT FALL FROM HEIGHT
Learning objective:
16) The participants can perform the appropriate use of different types of guided type fall arresters (e.g. slider, glider) and SRL while showing awareness of fall factors (Skills, intermediate level)
17) The participants can act independently in using the principle of selecting anchor points which reduce the fall factor to as low as possible (Ability, intermediate level)
