The participants shall:
Analyse case examples to identify unsafe behaviours and describe how they increased risk during transfer
Practise developing strategies to mitigate or avoid these risks through group discussion or scenario- based problem-solving
Explain how proactive behaviour and awareness can prevent incidents during W2W operations
ELEMENT 8.4 - SAFE BEHAVIOUR DURING TRANSFERS
Learning objectives:
56) The participants can describe safe behaviour during approach, crossing, and retreat phases of W2W transfers (Knowledge, basic level)
The instructor shall:
Lead scenario-based discussions on safe behaviour during the three key transfer phases: approach, crossing, and retreat
Facilitate an exercise where participants evaluate behavioural choices in different scenarios, including posture, awareness, communication, and consistency of movement
Provide feedback on how each behaviour either supports or undermines safe transfer operations
The participants shall:
Practise identifying correct behaviours for each transfer phase and explain the reasoning behind them
Participate in scenario exercises to apply safe movement techniques and situational awareness principles
Discuss how they can maintain consistent safe behaviour under operational pressure or distractions
