16. SEA SURVIVAL REFRESHER TRAINING
16.1 Aims and Objectives of the Sea Survival Refresher Training The aims of this Sea Survival Refresher Training are to refresh the participants prior experiences, knowledge, skills, and abilities to enable participants, through practical training, to act safely and responsibly and to take the correct preventive actions in all aspects of offshore operations from shore to installation vessel (or WTG) and vice versa. This is both during normal operations and in an offshore wind energy environment emergency.
After successfully having completed this Sea Survival Refresher Training, the participants can:
1) Take responsibility for their own and fellow employees’ safety in work situations as well as in emergency situations in an offshore work environment (Ability, intermediate level)
In addition to adhering to legal regulations and standards, the training provider must continuously ensure that the training material is updated and in alignment with industry guidelines from G+ specifically: Working at Height in the Offshore Wind Industry and Safe Management of Small Service Vessels Used in the Offshore Wind Industry

16.2 Instructor Qualification Prerequisites The instructor shall possess appropriate qualifications and experience to ensure that all training and supportive activities are carried out in accordance with current legislation and/or local guidelines and current version of GWO’s Requirements for Training offering GWO training.
In addition, instructors for the GWO Sea Survival Refresher Training must hold a valid GWO Working at Height Module training record.
16.3 Duration of the Sea Survival Refresher Training
The total contact time for completing the Sea Survival Refresher Training is set to be 4 hours and 30 minutes.
The training provider must not exceed the times per day given in the table below.
