LESSON 2 - SEA SURVIVAL SKILL STATIONS

Throughout this lesson, the instructor shall:
The instructor shall:
a. Establish the skill stations for this lesson in relevant locations
b. Allow participants to take the lead in demonstrating their relevant knowledge and skills and abilities
c. Call timeouts when necessary to create learning moments, including drawing focus to safety and quality and demonstrate procedures, techniques and how to use equipment
d. Conduct ongoing assessments (Participant Performance Assessment Form)
e. Provide feedback on participants’ strengths and areas for improvement and initiate peer feedback
f. Provide additional individual instruction to participants when needed

ELEMENT 2.1 - WARM-UP
The instructor shall:
Explain control measures for the specific training facilities and training to avoid injury during the training
Lead a warm-up session prior to the following skill stations (see Annex 2 for guidelines on conducting a warm-up session)
