Describe the purpose and user-facing behaviour of motion-compensated gangways, including typical movements, pauses, and dynamic/static components
Describe the appropriate response to standard W2W signals and alarms (e.g., stop, brace, traffic lights)
Describe safe behaviour during approach, crossing (including telescoping elements), and retreat phases of a W2W transfer
Consider risks associated with unsafe W2W behaviour, including cargo/tool handling errors, distraction, and moving during dynamic phases
Engage in discussions on Person Overboard procedures and share experiences
ELEMENT 2.4 - SKILL STATION: SAFE TRANSFER
Learning objectives:
17) The participants can take responsibility for transfer between CTV and WTG TP following the relevant procedures (Ability, intermediate level)
18) The participants can take responsibility for performing buddy checks of tethering systems on colleagues prior to transfer (Ability, intermediate)
The participants shall:
Transfer safely between CTV and WTG TP following the relevant procedures
Transfer safely between CTV and WTG TP (one transfer to; and one from) of self of each type (listed below) per participant:
a.
SRL with quick connector
b.
twin fall arrest lanyards
Communicate for safe transfer procedure
