Many berries are high in fiber and have strong antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. For extra sweetness, you can mix fruit into yogurt or make a smoothie! Dark Chocolate Sometimes, chocolate hits the perfect spot — and you don’t have to give it away! Dark chocolate contains has healthy plant compounds known as polyphenols (as long as the dark chocolate contains at least 70% cacao). Because dark chocolate contains more cacao, you will consume more fiber, iron, magnesium, copper, potassium and zinc in just a few bites over regular milk chocolate. If you’re craving something salty, then try … Popcorn If you use raw kernels and air-pop your popcorn, it’s a great healthy alternative to potato chips! You will receive a great source of fiber and only a little bit of sodium (if you choose to lightly season your popcorn). Veggie Chips You can choose from dozens of different veggie chip brands — you’ve probably seen them in your grocery store! You can also make your own by thinly slicing your favorite veggies, mixing them in salt, pepper and a dash of oil and allowing them to cook on a baking sheet in the oven for 20 minutes at 400 degrees F.
