Chapter 12. Let Go of Your Fear

Focus on the solution or outcome, not the obstacle, change, or problem. Doing this is the number one My grandmother, Carmella Post, had a saying that has lasted me a lifetime, and helps me even more the older and wiser I get: “Don’t waste energy on things you can’t change—just focus on the ones you can.” Take a second and think what change in your life is coming that you know you should make a move on. If you do not move on it, it will direct you to make moves out of desperation. If you take the initiative to change something before it changes on its own, then you are the one in control. But if you ignore it until it slaps you in the face, then you will be reacting to a problem. If you had no fear of change, then would you start small changes today? I bet you’re saying yes! Fear of the unknown may be holding you back, but you are already a master of dealing with change . You’ve been doing it your entire life. You just need to step it up to another level. Have the confidence to know you can do it now. Become a person who focuses on outcomes and accomplishments. Focus on the solution when a problem occurs and focus on the incredible outcome that can result from change.
