because they let other people steal their dreams and instill a sense of negativity. Remember this: No matter how well-intentioned someone is, or what his or her relationship is with you, if you do what others tell you,

you will likely have what they have. If they don’t have what you want in life, then why are they qualified to guide you or make you feel a certain way? No one can make you feel inferior or tell you your ideas or vision is wrong unless you allow them that power. Many times you can tell the quality of a person by the advice he or she gives. Is he or she the type of person who points out the faults, the problems, the challenges, the downfalls, the risks, and the negative? Remember, anyone can find weeds in the garden. On the other hand, is he or she constructive? Does the person find the solutions with an alternative? Does he or she offer supporting ideas? Does the person applaud your goals and dreams with support? You want advice from someone who says, “Let me tell you why it didn’t work for me and how it could possibly work for you,” not someone who says, “It didn’t work out for me, so don’t even try to do it.” That’s an important difference, wouldn’t you agree? It’s all in the language. Unsuccessful people are trained to find what’s wrong. They say, “Here’s why it won’t work.” Success- ful people, on the other hand, go beyond this average way of thinking and say, “Here’s what’s wrong, and here’s the solution and
