differently than most. Success isn’t just dollars and cents. It’s the whole package. If you’re not climbing, you’re sliding. Find someone who is climbing, changing lives, and making things happen, and then grab a hold of that person. A perfect example of this is that recently I have had the desire to explore and expand my relationship with God. I have always been a Christian yet being so busy in my adult life I never took the time to get to know God beyond what I learned from going to Catholic school until the 5th grade. Like we discussed in an earlier chapter, I put the word out there that these were my thoughts. I told family and friends and asked advice from people who already had an empowering relationship with God. In a meeting with a business associate and also good friend I told him of my desire to expand that part of my life. I knew it was my time to search and find fulfillment in this area of my life. Damon, my associate, shared with me a different side of God’s words that I was not used to hearing. Or maybe I was not listening until now. We had a great conversation and he felt great sharing his passion. A few weeks later Damon called me and asked if I would fly to Jacksonville, Florida, to meet a family friend named Joel Osteen. I had seen Joel on TV before and thought he was a great speaker. I also knew he had a book out called Your Best Life Now that was not only a best
