Chapter 22. Discover the Reason Behind Your Goals
From List to Life Now I’m going to show you how to take your list and convert it into today’s world. For example, if you have written down that you are a people person, you love to explore, and you love to learn new things, but you work in an office doing the same thing every day, you have no one to talk to, and you are not making enough money to travel further than your backyard, then you have a prob- lem. Your day-to-day life goes totally against what you’re passionate about. This simple exercise should help remind you of who you really are and what your reason for wanting more out of life is—your purpose and reason for being on this earth. God (or who- ever you believe in) put us here for a reason. What is your reason? What you wrote down previously, if you truly dug deep inside of yourself, are the things that make you happy and hope- fully will allow you to see what your true purpose is. It can help you see that your current exterior life may be in total conflict with the person on the inside—the person you were meant to be. In fact let’s take it a step further and create a comparison chart between what truly makes you happy and your present reality. You can create your comparison chart on page 284 or print one out at our web site, www.totallyfulfilled.com. It will only take a moment to do but can be a heck of an eye opener on why you are not fulfilled.
