Chapter 22. Discover the Reason Behind Your Goals
groove, your purpose, and set goals that will allow you to lead a totally fulfilled life. If you were on your deathbed and an angel came down from heaven and said: “You’ve been given another shot at this. You can come back and be anybody you’d want to be, who would you pick? Michael Jordan? Oprah Winfrey? Brad Pitt? Julia Roberts? Robert Redford? Gandhi? Moses? Martin Luther King? Babe Ruth? Who would you pick? My greatest goal is for you to look in the mirror and say: “I’d pick me at my full potential.” No one could even come close to being you at your full potential! The challenge is that we only get one chance at this. We live in a world filled with fear and insecurity. But I’m here to tell you: You’re good enough. It’s time to live and leave your legacy. Make your life a masterpiece and live at your full potential. Keep your purpose with you at all real simple goal list. This, along with everything else in this book, will be your fuel and driving force for making things happen. In addition to your internal motivation, you have people in your life who are your driving force for wanting more. Maybe it’s your kids, husband, wife, or that someone special. Maybe your driving force is proving something to your parents, your family, or your friends. When added to your main “reason,” this can be the last piece of motivation you need to make things happen. Realize that none of these things alone will allow you to have complete fulfillment, because you are doing it for someone else. When you have your personal purpose figured out, then bringing about the things you want for everyone around you will become ten times easier. You will have more of you to give, and you’ll be able to do so with a smile and confidence that will make everyone around you shine. …have people in your life who are your driving force… times. Use it as a reference to stay on track and guide you to make the right decisions. Remember your purpose, because soon we are going to make a
