Chapter 26. Putting It All Together
I know many traditionalists in the success field cringe at what I have shared with you. The bottom line is that I have shared real world information with you, not some regurgitated psycho- babble. My goal is to take the gift I was blessed with—to go for anything I desire full speed ahead, find what works and does not work along the way—and convert that knowledge into a simple way for you to understand it, digest it, and apply it. As I have mentioned I have only read a handful of books in my life. I have only attended a handful of seminars in my life, and that was because I spoke at them. But with my very fortunate suc- cess, I have had the chance to meet many of the so-called experts ranting and raving about success and their “black and white” approach to it. Quite frankly, many of their opinions drive me nuts. Many seem to be based on a great theory, but not on real life. And many did not seem to be living the successful life they were selling to others. I’ve found, in the real world of success, happiness, and fulfillment, there is no black or white; rather, it’s gray. There are many different paths to success. But having the right “core” is like having a set of maps, all with the correct destination, yet possi- bly different routes that you can choose to fit you and your life. And that is my goal: To give you a road map to success. But you have to use it. Once you apply these lessons and see how they work, you will likely refer to this book as your handbook for suc- cess. These principles have stood the test of time. I feel confident that I have cut through the fat and gristle to give you the meat of what you need faster and easier.
