Safety training

Control of Hazardous Energies Standard / V5 10032026

The participants shall:

Engage in the scenario learning activity and share understandings about the response to the pressure fluid incident

Practise deciding on the correct actions and their delivery when responding to a pressure fluid incident during the scenario

Engage in the challenge, discuss, and share personal experiences and beliefs about:

a. why do individuals NOT seek prompt specialised medical attention after suffering a pressure fluid incident?

b. how could it be ensured that all individuals will seek prompt specialised medical attention after suffering a pressure fluid incident in the participants opinion?

c. consequences of suffering a pressure fluid incident and not receiving prompt specialised medical attention

LESSON 5 - HAZARDOUS PRESSURE FLUID SCENARIOS

120 min.

The aim of the lesson is to enable the participants to support and care for themselves and others while working with, and in the vicinity of, pressure fluids in the wind industry in a variety of scenarios in wind turbine work environments. The scenarios must challenge participants to take responsibility for work being performed safely, with or in the vicinity of pressure fluids.

After successfully completing this lesson, the participants can:

39) Take responsibility for establishing a safe work condition on pressure fluids systems (Ability, intermediate level)

ELEMENT 5.1 - HAZARDOUS PRESSURE FLUID SCENARIOS

Learning objectives:

40) The participants can act independently to select and use safe work practices to reduce the associated risks to the hazards related to working around pressure fluids (Ability, intermediate level)

41) The participants can act independently to treat all pressure systems as pressurised until a safe work condition has been established (Ability, intermediate level)
