ANNEX 1 - EQUIPMENT LIST

The following pages specify the equipment required to deliver each module in alignment with this training standard. All equipment shall meet the criteria defined in the GWO Requirements for Training and is intended for use in physical training settings to support safe and effective learning and assessment.

All equipment shall be maintained and where appropriate, inspected and tested in accordance with current national standards/ legislation and manufacturers’ recommendations

CoHE Electrical Safety Module

The following equipment is required during the entire duration of training for CoHE Electrical Safety Initial and Refresher Training to meet the needs of the CoHE Electrical Safety Module.

PPE suitable for electrical work:

o insulating gloves (at least one pair per two participants) o safety goggles o safety shoes or boots o suitable clothing • Lockout-Tagout equipment. As a minimum: o 6 x padlocks o 6 x caution notices / tags o An example of accessories for locking certain components e.g. different types of circuit breakers, hydraulic needle valves.

Measuring devices:

Category III 600 V multimeter (at least 1 per three participants)

Two pole voltage detectors (at least 1 per three participants)

A electrical system which as a minimum must be able to:

Be live

Be switched off and on

Have accessible measuring points

Have Lockout-Tagout applied to the system
