MSCA members experiences benefit of wide networking, high recognition, and extend the capabilities, knowledges and technology transfer with various stakeholders. Series of collaboration and partnership been achieved and ready to be executed at international, national, state, and city levels. These opportunities shall be leverage by all MSCA members to widening our networking and expertise.

Promoting knowledge exchange between various stakeholders in action towards sustainability through our Malaysia International Centre for Sustainable Cities (MyICSC) platform. MSCA is capable in organizing any capacity building program and knowledge sharing to develop and strengthen the skills, instincts, abilities, processes and resources to any organizations and communities towards sustainable development. MSCA offered multiple platform & opportunities for all stakeholders with insightful information, exchange best practices, business opportunities and expand wide linkages among relevant stakeholders for sustainable development program. MSCA creates extensive networking to valuable sources of knowledge and expertise. We take a crucial step towards experiencing sustainable and smart cities agenda to build great relationships among sustainable and smart cities’ stakeholders. MSCA role is to create facilitation program for the purpose of developing collaboration and organizing the stakeholders to be involved and contributed to various sustainable & smart cities program at international, national, state and local development. MSCA works with various government agencies and private organizations to publish more information / knowledge to members, government agencies, industry players and experts in the field.

Malaysia Smart Cities Alliance Association (MSCA) is a platform for deliberation on Smart City’s issues and challenges among members, as well as to create opportunities for networking among the stakeholders across sectors, thus synchronizing the initiatives implemented and achieving specific, measurable outputs.

MSCA 1st Annual General Meeting 1 October 2021

Malaysia Smart Cities Alliance Association (MSCA) 1st AGM was conducted on 1st October 2021. During this AGM, the MSCA constitution was adopted and AGM the committee was formed. The committee consist of Dr. Raslan Ahmad, FASc, as the chair, Mr. Cheng Jew Keng, Chief Operating Officer as a vice chairman, Madam Azura Ali as Honorary Secretary and Mr. Muhammad Badzli as Honorary Treasury with Three exco’s . MSCA envisions itself as a platform for smart city stakeholders (smart city leaders and city builders, governments, corporations, entrepreneurs, and academic innovators) to advance smart city initiatives and add value to existing initiatives in Malaysia. MSCA pursues growth strategies through collaboration in the form of Public-Private Partnership (PPP), which involves national and international stakeholders.

Perak Sustainable Plan 2030 Development The Quick Win Pitching - 4th October 2021, 18 November 2021 & 25 November 2021

MSCA was invited to submit Request for Proposal (RFP) for Perak Sustainable Plan 2030 quick win project based on 9 prioritise sectors. 5 MSCA members had submitted the RFP to be evaluated by the PSG2030 Quick Win Committee. This quick wins aimed to materialize the action plan at on ground level and contribute towards the development of state economic, environmental and social aspects.

Special Briefing Session to MSCA Members 12 October 2021

A special briefing for MSCA members was held, with the goal of providing an update on ongoing projects and their progress. This briefing was led by MSCA's Chairman and Committee Members. The main goal of the session was to communicate with the members and give them the opportunity to participate in the collaboration.

Key Outcome:

1. MSCA members to be participate in the Perak Sustainable Plan 2030 and Smart Melaka Blueprint 2035.

2. MSCA members to initiate and expand future collaboration with relevant stakeholders, such as smart city solutions services and providers.

MSCA holds a meeting with Cybersecurity Malaysia to introduce MSCA, invite CSM to join MSCA, and explore future collaboration with CSM.

MSCA members had the opportunities to share on smart cities experience and best practices to all participants during the final workshop of the development of Smart Melaka Blueprint 2035. MSCA members contributed their knowledge and expertise during the engagements and workshops by giving a talk session which assist in strategically prioritising the quick win projects for SMB2035.

MIGHT together with The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) organized Networking and Knowledge Sharing Session with the theme “Smart Mobility Towards Sustainability Growth” .

This webinar deliberate on how smart mobility utilizes technologies to accomplish sustainable growth for cities, communities, and individuals. Panelists shared their thought on how smart mobility can utilizes technologies to accomplish sustainable growth for cities, communities, and individuals. Programme Objectives: 1. To critically evaluate the roles of mobility technologies in creating smart sustainable city. 2. To promote equitable mobility solutions as catalysts for sustainable society. 3. To identify vulnerable groups of the society who are adversely affected by smart mobility. 4. To propose the way forward for achieving smart urban mobility.

Webinar: Smart City Solutions from Finland 9 December 2021

MSCA, together with the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT) and the Embassy of Finland, collaborated to conduct Smart City Solutions webinar. It was launched by H.E. Mr. Sami Leino, Ambassador of Finland to Malaysia. and over 100 smart city stakeholders and municipalities, both local and international, actively participated. The webinar aimed to share solutions developed by Finnish businesses. It emphasised advanced city planning concepts, sustainable and smart living, energy efficiency, and smart mobility services integrated with modern ICT technologies.
