SEND REVIEWS In a time of austerity when schools are having to think differently about how best to meet the needs of children with SEND, the review process provides an opportunity to gain a fresh perspective from experienced SEND and School Improvement Leaders. The review provides external validation of a school’s self-evaluation and will help to develop the SEND strategy, in order to effectively support children and young people to achieve good outcomes.
SENCO SUPPORT
Mentoring, Supervision, focus visits and Interim SENCo packages of support are available to develop effective leadership of SEND in each Birmingham School. MAXIMISING THE PRACTICE OF TEACHING ASSISTANTS BEP has two licensed trainers for this research-led course. The training provides Teaching Assistants with the skills to scaffold learning and help pupils become confident, independent learners.

An opportunity to self-evaluate the strengths of SEND provision and outcomes for pupils with SEND across a trust to inform future key priorities and trust strategic development planning. An excellent opportunity to work alongside and learn from other leaders within Birmingham Multi Academy Trusts with responsibility for monitoring of SEND provision across their academies.
